With the illegal market, garbage abounds. Finding quality cannabis is increasingly difficult. "Take it, it's from Amsterdam", you smoke it and it tastes like the artichoke bought the other day at the market. But we at JustMary want to help you. Here are 10 ways to tell if the weed is good.

A glance, a quick glance, a swipe under your fingertips. And we have already gathered the right information. Omen of catastrophe or happy ending.
Good or bad weed? In this case, appearance is fundamental. Colours, scents, flavours. There are many characteristics, or warning signs, to grasp. And today we learn how to do it.
1. Color
More than the color liveliness. High quality flowers have a brilliant appearance, a symptom of good cultivation and correct conservation. They're all dressed up, they're attractive, you can't take your eyes off them. On the contrary, low-quality buds, have a look dull and unpleasant. That doesn't make you want to smoke them.
2. Trichomes
Tops covered with trichomes they are quality buds. Why? The trichomes, those which, to the naked eye, resemble hairs, are glands whose task, during flowering, is to produce resin. Resin it contains cannabinoids and terpenes. But be careful.
They have to reach the correct maturation. Flashlight in hand and, if they have a look transparent they are immature. On the contrary, mature trichomes take on varying shades from whitish to amber. Don't let them escape.
3. Pistils

I pistils, are the female sexual organ of cannabis. Filaments that stretch towards the sky, waiting to receive male pollen. And not only that. They show us the cultivation progress.
In the first stage of flowering, they will have one color brilliant. They are still immature. Let's give our tops the time they need. Weeks pass. And here they are tinged with an orange color. Here we are.
Harvesting should take place when most of the pistils are coloured dark orange.
4. The presence of seeds
The presence of seeds is never a good sign. From sinsemilla, high quality grass seedless. But why?
Let's go back to the pistils for a moment. When the female sexual organ of cannabis receives male pollen, it initiates fertilization. And so, from the production of resin, the plant directs its energies towards seed production.
Female cannabis uses the absorbed resources for reproduction. By doing this, the buds do not reach maximum potency and the quality of the weed decreases. Always remember.
Don't leave your female seedlings with male plants. They will mate without a second thought.

5. Trimming for quality inflorescences
It's time to harvest. You didn't expect anything else. I know that the temptation is uncontrollable to say the least but, alas, the buds will first have to be cleaned of excess leaves. In technical jargon, trimming.
A delicate operation, which, for quality buds, will be entrusted to trimmers. How it used to be done. Without the use of machinery, which could damage and ruin the inflorescences. Moral? Avoid tops provided with foliage or removed mechanically.
6. Consistency
Touch comes to our aid. Quality buds will be plump, compact and decidedly sticky.
Dense, appetizing flowers, which, when chopped, almost open doubling their size. On the contrary, poor quality buds, they are airy and not very sticky. Bringers of disappointment, once chopped, they produce small quantities of plant matter.
There is a test what we can do. We take a bud between our fingers and crush it, always with caution. The dense ones will resist and return to the shape original. The airy ones, alas, will collapse on themselves.
7. Flavor
Take your buds, pass them under your nose. A wave of perfumes it will overwhelm your nostrils. Breathe. Make those unmistakable fragrances yours.
Terpenes are gods aromatic oils which give cannabis its incredible aromas. When you open your stash you should be literally overwhelmed.
Perfumes and quality are not directly linked, but buds that do not give off any odor or that vaguely resemble hay is a sign of poorly cultivated grass or poorly preserved.
8. Flavors
We have arrived at the long-awaited moment. Buds in the grinder, paper and filter in hand, a twist and... fire.
Be patient. Savor. Taste. Let the smoke sit on your palate for a few seconds before drinking. If accompanied by a trail of fruit and sweets, you are smoking medium or high quality weed.
On the contrary, if it turns out tasteless, that leaves a strong burning in the throat, even worse if followed by a cough, I don't need to tell you what it means. It's low quality weed.
9. The color of ash
You are smoking your beloved legal weed. After the first two or three puffs it's time to take a puff. Among the clouds of smoke, take a few moments to check the ash color.
His color clear is synonymous with quality grass. On the contrary, the dark color of the ash can be caused by one massive fertilization.
