According to a recent survey, more than half of Europeans are favorable to legalization of cannabis.

The sky of Europe is tinged with green. From the results of a recent survey conducted by Hanway Associates, 55% of European citizens are in favor of legalization and regulation of marijuana.
Hanway Associates, Europe's leading cannabis industry consultancy, has led a first-of-its-kind survey. After considering eight European countries, asked its residents if they would support a law regulating the sale of cannabis to adults.
The investigation, aimed at citizens of eight key markets: Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, highlighted that the clear majority of them wants the legalization of cannabis. The only exception is the Netherlands, a country already historically open in this direction, where "only" 47% of the people involved consider a further step towards the regulation of this plant as a priority.

Despite the political resistance, Italy, with the 60% of votes in favour leads the way among the countries that require the cannabis market to be regulated and made accessible to all citizens who have crossed the threshold of adulthood.
In particular in our peninsula, in addition to the majority of citizens who support legalization, 16% proved indifferent to the topic and only 22% he was against it.
Finally, we find that almost 30% of Europeans would consider trying legal cannabis, i.e. more 120 million of adult consumers in the main European markets.
