In Navarra, Spain, the largest seizure of cannabis in Europe. A cultivation that covered 67 hectares for a total of 415 thousand plants of marijuana was destroyed.

The sale of the plants on the market, according to the statement from the Navarrese command, would have generated from 30 to 100 million euros if transformed into CBD and derivatives.

The investigations, which began in the middle of last year when an agent discovered a cultivation of dubious legality, led to the location of 11 plantations for a total of 67 hectares.

The cultivation manager had informed the police that the aim was to exploit the hemp for industrial use. However, the enormous economic investment, as well as the final destination of these plants which would be shipped to Italy and Switzerland, countries known for the production of CBD products, an activity prohibited in Spain, led toarrest of three people.

In addition to the fields, another 13 thousand plants found in the fields were seized drying phase and around 23 thousand in a truck headed for Italy intercepted while leaving the warehouse, for a total weight of 50,740 kilos.

These plants have already been destroyed following the authorization of Tafalla Court, and the rest of the plants that had not yet been harvested, a total of another 375,000, were subsequently cut down and destroyed.
