In Switzerland, last April 30, a popular initiative was launched that wants to completely legalize cannabis.
The proposal would authorize the possession, consumption and cultivation of cannabis, for both personal and commercial use. Giving the definitive start to the cannabis market of Switzerland.

The proposed legalization of cannabis in Switzerland
The newly launched popular initiative, called “Cannabis legalization: an opportunity for the economy, health and equality”, goes further well beyond experiments already started in various cities of the Swiss country.
Experiments that like that of Zurich, allow a limited number of selected participants to acquire your cannabis legally. The goal?
Study the effects of legalization on consumers for future regulation. And it seems that the time has come.
As highlighted by radio and television CSR, the proposal would only authorize "a habit that has already been recurring for almost 300 thousand Swiss".
In particular, it authorizes:
- the possession, consumption and cultivation of cannabis for personal use. Up to 50 seedlings
- cultivation and sale for commercial purposes, opening the doors to Switzerland's recreational market
Market composed of cultivation companies and sales points, which will be equipped with a specific license and must follow rigorous quality and safety standards.
