Good news for cannabis in Italy. Yesterday, June 5th, they were deposited in the Senate there are more 50 thousand signatures collected for self-production.
The coordinator of Meglio Legale reported it on social media Antonella Soldo, which confirms: "Today we deposited the 55 thousand signatures of the IoColtivo popular initiative law proposal - We are taking them to the Senate because here the obligation of discussion applies".
But what does the law provide?
Cannabis: a law to legalize its self-production
Referring to the law that allowed legalization in Germany, officially in force since April 1st, the popular initiative IoColtivo is divided into 3 main points:
- legalize self-production and grower associations, better known as Cannabis Social Club
- allow the possession up to 30 grams and the personal consumption of cannabis
- abolish the administrative sanctions provided for, such as the withdrawal of passport and driving licence
This would be excellent news for cannabis consumers, who today, however, in view of the possible approval of the new zero tolerance road code of Salvini, risk having their license revoked just for a positive drug test.
