As claimed by study of the doctor Sarah Daniels, published as a thesis in psychology at the University of British Columbia, practicing yoga after consuming cannabis can generate a deeper state of awareness.

Practicing yoga after consuming cannabis: the study
"In studies of other psychoactive drugs used for therapeutic purposes there is considerable attention to extra-pharmacological factors during the experience, since it is known that such contextual factors can have a significant impact on clinical results", underlined the doctor, noting how important the environment around us is.
There were 47 participants who, following the Naturalistic Cannabis Administration Protocol (NCAP), self-administered cannabis two sessions. One a week apart from the other.
In the first session the participants, after taking cannabis, practiced yoga for 45 minutes. In the control session, however, again for 45 minutes, they carried out normal activities that they would usually carry out after consuming cannabis, such as: reading, listening to music, watching a film, etc.
“Evaluation of well-being outcomes within subjects indicated significant improvements in mysticism of experience and awareness after the yoga session and no difference in the effect,” said the doctor.
Combining cannabis and yoga to increase awareness
There were two i main benefits found by Dr. Daniels when combining yoga with cannabis.
Specifically, “The results of the present study indicated that participation in a mindful movement practice after consuming cannabis ha amplified all dimensions of the mysticism of experience with large-scale effects.”
Furthermore, “The results of the present study indicated that participants experienced one higher state of awareness during the yoga condition compared to the control condition with large effect sizes.”
For these reasons, “this suggests that if cannabis users use cannabis for the purpose of raising awareness, they could be achieved better results associating cannabis with a practice of conscious movement, rather than with typical activities of daily life”.
