World opinion on cannabis is changing (for the better) and more and more people are interested in products containing cannabinoids. Interest also noted by Meta, the digital giant that controls the social networking services of Facebook and Instagram, which, as announced, has updated its advertising policies for cannabis, easing restrictions on CBD and hemp in the US, Canada and Mexico.

Meta: CBD ads allowed
As reported in communicated recently released, "We want people to continue to discover and learn about new products and services through our technologies. Starting today, we are reviewing our hemp advertising policy and products containing CBD and related, allowing promotion of legally permissible, non-ingestible CBD in the United States, with some restrictions."
Consumer safety and responsible marketing practices. These are the pillars on which the new ones are based guidelines released by Meta. In particular:
- Percentage of Limited THC: All advertised products must remain below federal levels, i.e. below 0.3% THC
- No statements deceptive: even though you bought them properties of CBD, the ads cannot recommend the purchase of the products because they could treat, cure, prevent, mitigate medical conditions in humans or animals
- Age restrictions: Ads cannot be aimed at consumers under 18 years of age
Finally, in addition to CBD policies, Meta will also allow companies to advertise products in fiber of hemp and food seeds.
We are confident that this digital revolution will soon also touch our peninsula, where instead social pages that talk about cannabis are often censored and banned, and not just limited to the USA, Canada and Mexico.
