"This suspension represents a victory for the entire hemp sector, the Association announced Hemp Sativa Italy (CSI), who had filed the appeal. In fact, the provision "would have severely limited the cultivation of CBD, putting various industrial supply chains at risk."

In particular, the decree aimed to classify CBD as a narcotic substance "without valid scientific basis" for CSI. Which was agreed by the TAR of Lazio, which suspended its effectiveness

CBD: Safe and free of side effects for the EU

To support the maneuver carried out by Canapa Sativa Italia, there are numerous scientific evidence and European regulations who have confirmed the safety of CBD.

In fact, it was 2020, when the European Court of Justice he had confirmed with one sentence historical that the CBD cannot be considered a narcotic substance because "it does not appear to have psychotropic effects or harmful effects on health. So you should enjoy it of freedom of movement within the Union.

We conclude by specifying that the decree has been suspended as a precaution, but it is in the next hearing, scheduled for December 16, 2024, the TAR will decide whether to definitively cancel it.
