"Two girls in Rome end up in hospital after eating... Cannabis gummies". 

This is the news bandied about by 90% of the mainstream media in Italy, who can't wait to throw mud on the hemp sector. But did it really happen like this?

Spoilers, no. But let's take a step back. 

Sickness from cannabis sweets: let's clarify

According to the newspapers, the gummy sweets "suspected" of having triggered an illness in the two girls contained CBD and THC less than 0.2%. And guess what? This too it is false

"The candies had no principle inside them, they were composed exclusively of hemp seed oil, which does not contain active ingredients, not even CBD", confirmed one of the company's managers.

"The NAS police arrived at our business and carried out a check which gave negative outcome, and waited for the toxicological analyzes of the two tourists before finishing their service. Tests that came back negative, and therefore our store did not suffer any consequences." 

What does this story teach us? What you shouldn't believe to everything that is fed to us by the "official" media, especially when it comes to hemp. 

You have to be curious. Investigate. Train your critical spirit. Do research. And only then get an idea of ​​what really happened.
