It's evening. You are with your friends or with your/your partner and you want to relax. A little about cannabis that's what we need. You turn it on. Take a few shots. And between one chat and another you suddenly explode to laugh.
The laughter is real natural medicine. They strengthen the immune system. They relieve anxiety and stress. They reduce pain. They improve mood. They strengthen a relationship. But why do we laugh?
There is no single cause. A sense of humor is something completely subjective and personal. However, one thing is certain: the cannabis it can be the engine of endless (and beneficial) laughter. Here's how.

Laugh for a longer life
A therapy "without disadvantages, side effects or risks to start taking seriously". Studies investigating enormous numbers are constantly increasing benefits of laughter. Both on a physical, mental and social level.
A scientific research from 2016, entitled "the recipe for laughter", confirmed that in addition to reducing stress and increasing pain tolerance, the physical act of laughing "can help prevent disease and ensure a healthier population".
And again, a 2021 study put it in black and white that: "Laughter therapy can physiologically reduce pro-stress factors and increase anti-stress factors that improve mood for reduce anxiety and depression".
There are no doubts. Laughing is good for you and those around you. But returning to our initial question: because cannabis does it bring many (healthy) laughs?
Why does marijuana make you laugh?
Already referred to by Pliny the Elder as "the leaf of laughter", cannabis is a plant rich in cannabinoids, including THC and CBD.
THC which binds mainly to the CB1 receptors present in our central nervous system: brain and spinal cord, stimulating the release of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and the serotonin.
The production of these neurotransmitters it gives us euphoria, joy, contentment, happiness. All seasoned with a good dose of laughter.
This reveals why when we take cannabis we always laugh easily.
