Known as the "mother cell", the CBG (or cannabigerol) is a particularly valuable cannabinoid, because it gives rise to all cannabis cannabinoids, including THC and CBD.
And although his fame is only just beginning, more and more people are appreciating him for his therapeutic effects, demonstrated by the scientific community.
Just recently, one clinical study published in the magazine Scientific Reports has highlighted the properties of CBG, capable of reduce anxiety and stress and of improve memory of the participants.

CBG: a valid (natural) remedy for anxiety
"The CBG could represent a new option to reduce stress and anxiety in healthy adults," concluded the authors of the research.
But how did we arrive at these results?
They have been selected 34 healthy adults, from 21 to 60 years old, who after completing a questionnaire for evaluate levels of anxiety, stress and mood, they have received or 20 mg of CBG or a placebo.
At the end of the experiment, the cannabinoid was associated with a average reduction of 26.5% in feelings of anxiety. As well as having had a "significant effect on subjective ratings of stress".
CBG: "significantly" improves verbal memory
However, what struck scholars were the results of verbal memory test, in which people had to listen to and remember lists of words.
“The CBG has improved significantly verbal memory compared to placebo”, confirmed the authors of the work.
We have "carried out three checks to ensure the most accurate result possible", he declared Carrie Cuttler: researcher in the Psychology department at Washington State University who led the study.
The ones who improved verbal memory were the anxiolytic effects of CBG, why Cognitive functions such as memory may "work better" in people who are less stressed and have lower levels of anxiety.
While the results are promising, Cuttler said further confirmation is needed. In fact, the research team has already started a new clinical study that will give even more precise results.
