The law has been defined on legalization of cannabis in Germany. This was announced by the Traffic Light Breakfast, made up of the Greens, the Liberals and the Social Democratic Party, who, after overcoming some internal disagreements, found the definitive agreement.
The law, which would legalize theself-production and the consumption of cannabis for adults, will soon be voted on, with the final reading by the Bundestag scheduled for February 19th to 23rd. To then move on to the Bundestrat for March.
"The fight against the black market, decriminalization and better protection of minors will happen as planned. The previous drug policy has failed; a new beginning", confirmed the Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach on X.

Legalization in Germany: effective from April
After Malta, which first legalized cannabis at the end of 2021, and Luxembourg, which has some authorized self-production in 2023, Germany is preparing to become the third country in Europe to allow the home cultivation and recreational use of cannabis.
For i Cannabis Social Club however, we will still have to wait, but they could be authorized as early as July 1st.
